iMovie big update: titles, backgrounds, adjustable filters

iOS only (obviously), v 2.3, released October 22nd

Apple iMovie got 3 new major features:

Titles are cool, you can judge by the screenshots, I personally find them better than in Instagram, for instance. The only disadvantage to me is that I don’t have a clear indication how long are the added titles visible during the clip.

Besides, they’ve added backgrounds (colors are customizable). Let’s say you want to have a short preroll to your clip, with a title on a nicely looking bg, and there you go. There’s also a tool to set up a transition style:

And the last but not least (OK, the least in this case) — adjustable filters. If a Comic filter is “too comic”, use the slider to reduce the intensity:
